I'm not like the other UX guys
I did not follow a traditional path and I do not work like most people in this space. I have been building digital products since the early days of the web, long before most companies even knew what a digital team was.
I started in a high school media lab, built my first company in the 1990s creating websites for Warner Music, Universal, and EMI, and landed a role at Sony Music when the internet was still dial-up.
Since then I have worked with banks, broadcasters, retailers, and startups: Rogers Bank, Manulife, CPP Investments, Cineplex, Club Monaco, and PBS among them. The common thread across 30 years is solving complex design problems in fast-moving environments. My work has earned recognition from the Webby Awards, SXSW Interactive, and Applied Arts.

Corporate environments are full of red tape and internal politics. I am calm under pressure, direct in my communication, and happiest when I can simplify chaos into something human.
Clients hire me for my technical expertise. They keep working with me because I make their lives easier. I act as a trusted sounding board and an objective outlet. Sometimes I am a design leader navigating strict banking compliance. Other times I am a low-rent therapist helping you vent about corporate bottlenecks.
I do not deliver fluff, unless it is my dog, Ryder. I ignore rigid processes designed just for appearances. What I care about is making things that work and making sure the people using them do not have to think twice.
Whether you need someone to run executive workshops, map out a new experience, or get into the Figma files with your development team, I will help move things forward.
And, we will actually have some fun doing it.
